Hey, I’m Rikki.

I am a licensed Mental Health Therapist with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, completing my Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am a trauma informed therapist who enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families.

My Approach

Person Centered

I believe that change takes place in therapy both through evidence-based modalities and through a strong therapeutic rapport. As a trauma-based therapist, it is important to me that my clients are the expert of their own experiences and that we walk the counseling journey together. What this means in practice is that the relationship we form together in the therapeutic environment is just as important as the form of therapy provided.

As a therapist I am casual, empathetic, and educational. I have a strong educational background in Marriage and Family Therapy and integrate Emotion Focused Therapy into my practice with individuals and couples.

My Why

One of my mentors once said that we are all “wounded healers”. Brene Brown talks about how empathy requires us to draw upon something within ourselves to connect with others around us. And Bessel Vander Kolk states “you cannot see the glory in life if you have not seen the dark side of life”. I find great joy and fulfillment in walking with others through their journey and being included in their space to explore and understand themselves.

FAQ

  • First things first, don't be nervous, I'm excited to meet you. Start by filling out the contact form and we will be in touch within 72 hours to answer any questions and schedule an initial intake session.

  • At this time, I do not bill insurance directly for my practice. What that means for clients is that I will do my best to help you get reimbursed for your out-of-pocket experience for therapy. However, that decision is ultimately up to your insurance company.

    Session Rate

    Individual- $140

    Couples- $160

    Family-$160

  • I typically see clients on every other week basis 1x a week for a 53-minute session.

I am more than happy to adjust this for each individual's needs.

The length of time attending therapy varies per person and what they are wanting to address and work on. I have many clients who have chosen to stay engaged in services for years and others that come for a season and return later.
